Alt-country songstress Katie Thompson returns triumphant with her third studio album "Bittersweet" which saw her nominated for two Tui's at the New Zealand Country Music Awards 2020. The album was recorded with award winning producer Ben Edwards at his studio The Sitting Room, Lyttelton.

The ever endearing, sweet and straight-talking Katie Thompson recently released her new collection of alt-country songs. Recorded with renowned producer Ben Edwards at The Sitting Room, Katie's 3rd album 'Bittersweet' is a more developed and introspective sound than her past material.

First coming to the music world’s attention in 2009 when she became the first country artist in the world to raise $50,000 USD via crowdfunding site Sellaband. She has shared the stage with pop royalty as the opening act for Sir Elton John and has released 3 full-length albums, a live EP and a handful of singles.
